2008 Bday – Jan 14th…

This Bday was special coz I am celebrating my bday in Chennai after a gap of one year. Last year, I was unable to travel to Chennai because I had my last exam on Saturday (13 Jan 2007) and hence there was no point in traveling on 14th Jan to chennai…

So this bday was enjoyable and pure fun As usual got calls and SMS from friends all over the world. Prashanth (my school friend) was the first one to wish me, got his SMS at dot 12 AM….thanks a lot buddy…

After that I started getting calls till 12.30 AM and then again, calls started from 8 AM. Was busy taking all lovely wishes from all my friends and families.

Got ready to go out for temple and sat with my laptop to reply to all my friends who had scrapped their wishes. Replied to all and then went out for temple, sadly the temple was closed as we were late my few minutes.

So came back home, again refreshed, had nice lunch and then me and my bro went out to Guild of Service Home for Handicapped Children in Anna Nagar West, Chennai. Me and bro went there and I donated some money to the center. Since it was holiday only few kids were there. We had a nice connection with this school because, we all used to walk through this school (to and fro from school) to our West Bus Depot, when we were studying in SBOA School, Anna Nagar, Chennai. Whenever we see this kids, we felt very emotional… I used to wonder how these kids are going to grow and become self-sufficient, etc… Today I had a chance to visit the center, in fact I am visiting it for the first time though I have been living in Chennai for over 25 years.

Evening went out with friends. We had gone to Cafe Coffee Day and Sandy (my schoolmate) and his friend ordered a great chocolate cake and it totally took me by surprise. Honestly I was not expecting this

Me, Chandru, Sandy and Sandy’s friend were there. We were expecting some more friends, but they could not make it.

After that we all left for dinner, thought of going to our good old Rich Fast Food, Annanagar, Chennai but somehow it got late and it was already 10.30 PM. So by the time we reach the place it would be closed, so we were looking for a new place, thanks to Just Dial got a 24 Hrs (so called) Restaurant in Thoraipakkam. We call the hotel guys and they said that they are closing down So we had to convince them to stay open and we ordered our stuffs on phone.

Luckily, he was waiting for us and then he served when we were there in the restaurant. It was a nice and cozy place…nice drive in the IT Corridor road, first time I was driving there after the road was constructed. Very nice stretch, was remembering my long drives in Italy

Well after that we first dropped Chandru and then I got down at my place and Sandy left for his home (he was already half asleep). Sandy, if you are reading this message, please add your comments dude…at least these folks would know that you reached home safe
