Well folks, one more book of Chetan Bhagat to tangle you with call center environment – One Night @ the Call Center (ON@CC)
I do not work in a Call Center, though heard a lot about the happenings. So, it was fun to know what call center guys experience
I read this book in just three hours, did not take a break…non-stop reading
The book is too good, like his previous book (Five Point Someone), written in a very simple english and in first-person narration.
Coming to the characters, there are six main characters (all in the same team) managed by a boss. Shyam the main character (storyteller
), Priyanka (his ex-girlfriend), Varun (speedracer), Esha (wannabe model), Radhika (married and good d-i-l), Miltary Uncle (elder) and finally Mr. Bakshi (Da Boss).
The interesting part in the story is that it captures all the events happening in one single night

Everybody have problems in life, but we need to know how to tackle/get rid of them asap…this book will help you to do that…believe me.
On the whole the book is good, only the GOD part was a bit sulky. But still was interesting
.
Some info:
- I did not know that people take breaks and go to the nearby pubs to get a quick drink (of course, along with the gals)
- Picking up people is a very tough job and now I know why all Qualis drivers always honk at night in front of my apartment
- Now I can understand why all Bosses do not CC you on the mail that they send to the client/customer
Rohan Sippy has got the rights for producing a movie based on this book
This is a very nice cartoon, googled for it…

And Chetan Bhagat is busy writing screenplay for the movie based on Five Point Someone, which is coming in 2007
